spontaneity |ˌspäntəˈnēitē; -ˈnā-| noun performed or occurring as a result of a sudden inner impulse or inclination and without premeditation or external stimulus

Here I go again. I think spontaneity is a great personality trait when it come to certain things. For the most part I’m a go with the flow kind of girl. For some time now I’ve been wanting to do something for me. Something that doesn’t have an attachment to anyone else. Something I could start and finish on my own; a personal accomplishment I could see through to the end. As with spontaneity, sometimes I’m a bit all over the place. I’m a wanderer and I am a dreamer. I get excited easily about new adventures I can take in life. Adventures for me come in small and large packages. Recently I’ve become intrigued with growing vegetables and redecorating my living room. Both really different and fun things, but they still lack a feeling of personal stimulation.

Today out of probably pure craziness I’d found what I’d been searching for.

In 99 days I will run a half marathon in San Francisco. Two years ago I ran my very first marathon. I trained for five months and crossing the finish line will remain one of the greatest moments of my life. As cheesy as it may sound, it was life changing. After the marathon I stopped training and figured because I had accomplished this goal that I’d be okay with leaving it behind. Not so much!  I broke out my running shoes today. On Saturday I am starting from square one. Training says three miles….HERE I GO AGAIN (on my own)!

  1. Gina says:

Good luck Katie Mo! When is the race? We should try to come cheer you on across the finish line!

  2. jackie says:

Good for you Katie. I’ll be there to watch you cross the finish line. By the way….love the photo.

  3. Marie says:

    Do you have leggings on?
