…Sand Dollars

sand dollar noun  flattened sea urchin that lives partly buried in sand

“Remember when you were little and we collected the sand dollars that were covering the shore at the beach,” my mother says to me this morning. As many know my memory, not so great, so no I didn’t remember this memory, but decided I wanted to make this same one for my son. Upon arrival at the beach the sand dunes were high and the sand was super thick, but we made it to the shoreline. There were a zillion sand dollars on the beach, but they were all in pieces. On our adventure we only found one that was still completely intact, but it was still fun. My son kept saying, “Let’s get more!” So, I can chalk this one up as another awesome summertime memory, and in case my son forgets in the future, I have the pictures to prove it! Enjoy!
