…Expectancy

expectancy |ikˈspektənsē|noun the state of thinking or hoping that something, esp. something pleasant, will happen or be the case

I’ve known Karen all my life. She is my sister Marie’s, best friend. When I heard 5 months ago that she and her husband Joe, were expecting, I couldn’t help but become nostalgic. Karen and Marie used to annoy me so much. Typical little sister and friend, bugging big sister stuff. Hot pink spandex pants comes to mind for some reason and princess crowns on their joint birthday party. Well, needless to say Karen is all grown up now with only a short time to go before she’ll be a Mommy. Joe and Karen met me at Santa Clara University, (the university where they met and fell in love), for Pre-Christmas maternity photos. All the students were on break, so we had the school to ourselves. Both were good sports and anxious to meet their newborn. Karen and Joe I am so excited for you both. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this wonderful time in both your lives. I look forward to meeting your new baby!

Creativity…

creativity |ˌkrē-āˈtivitē| noun the use of the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work. I’m lucky enough to surround myself with a lot of creative people. My friends include actresses, artists, chefs, comedians, a gaggle of photographers, musicians, calligraphers, DIYers, interior designers, quilters, scrapbookers, writers, bloggers, and so on and so on. Needless to say, I’m inspired pretty regularly. This […]

wingman |ˈwiNGˌmən| n. a man who helps or supports another man; a friend or close associate I was painfully shy as a kid. Painfully! …Sea

sea noun the expanse of salt water that covers most of the earth’s surface and surrounds its landmasses. Why are we so mesmerized by ginormous fish tanks? …Ease

peartreefitz005

ease |ēz| noun absence of difficulty or effort I’d love to say that each session I do starts out immediately with an absence of difficulty or effort, but that would be a lie. It always, as it should, takes a few setups to ease into picture taking. It’s unnatural for most people. So, as the photographer it is my […]
