…Adventure

adventure |adˈven ch ər; əd-|noun an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity

I love Sunset Magazine. It is one of those magazines I read from cover to cover and hate when I’m finished. How to decorate a small space, best small towns to visit in California, how to plant a container garden, and the best colors to paint your kitchen, are all articles I have loved to read. I always try and attempt to accomplish one thing I read about in each issue. This time I coerced my friend Sheila on our way back to Southern California from San Francisco to take an additional 82 miles out of our way for a spring trip to a wildflower field in San Luis Obispo. I had read about it in a recent Sunset issue. I was actually the one needing the coercing after traveling all morning long with the desire to get home. Sheila was able to get me back in the mood when we photographed each other at an abandoned train stop. When we arrived at our destination I was happy. In a field filled with yellow, orange, and purple wildflowers, how could you not smile. Thank you for taking an adventure with me Sheila!

Oh, that’s me! Haha. Thanks for letting me coerce you into going off track and going for a windy ride. It was an adventure worth taking and I enjoyed it immensely!

Okay, be honest: do I look like I’m 12? ;o)

  2. She says:

Oh you should post the magazine photo.

  3. Twelve, absolutely not! Sixteen…maybe! You’re so funny Sheila!
